FRII Creative contracted with the City of Cortez Colorado to completely redesign and rebuild their existing web site into one that they could manage on their own. We worked with the City stakeholders to create a new graphic design and information architecture that reflected the needs of their constituents.
The new structure was implemented within the open-source Drupal Content Management System. Each City department now updates their own content via an easy to use web-based WYSIWYG editor. The Public Information Officer has the ability to review all site changes.
FRII provided on-site training for all departments. The hands-on tutorial was supplemented with written user guides for all attendees. The user guide is also distributed to all new maintainers by the City.
We continue to provide second-tier support and regular upgrades of the CMS, reducing load on the City's IT and public relations staff.
